please excuse my ignorance, but i have to ask: is there any sort of metaphor connecting the US presidential elections and your cough?

or did you really just simply cough over a grape seed as you mentioned?  and if this is the case, i'll have to wonder how did it cross your mind to post a blog entry about you coughing while watching the television?

either ways i hope you do forgive my utter ignorance and clarify this matter for me, as i have been thinking about it all afternoon.
